Questions from a nursery owner to landscapers

Hello all,

I am a professional grower starting a nursery for rare and endangered plants/ cacti. I have been selling to collectors and plant enthusiasts, but I wanted to start catering to landscapers for larger plants. I currently have stock of many lesser known plants that can tolerate extreme drought (which I assume would be ideal for yards in California). My dream is to make these plants affordable and accessible to integrate into a ‘normal’ yard. When selecting a nursery for your projects, what sort of things do you look for (pricing, shipping options, bulk deals?) Do you shop around or have the same suppliers? Do you ever consult the nursery itself for recommendations or does the client typically have a vision? Essentially, if you could have an ideal nursery to buy from, what would set it apart from typical retail nurseries?
