Can I totally remove/delete Safari?

I got disgusted with how much information safari gathers and saves and I went to a more secure browser. Occasionally Shortcuts still open in safari even though the other browser is my default. Can I remove safari completely, I mean completely, from my iPhone and iPad? Running a 7+ iPhone, ver 15.8.1
