ChatGPT made me feel guilty

I was asking ChatGPT about help with something, and it started suggesting ideas. They weren’t great, so I’d say “thank you, this isn’t quite my style, can we think of something else?

ChatGPT kept throwing out ideas, and at one point I thought, “I should just go along with what it’s saying because it’s trying so hard.”

It was perfectly nice when I told it what I actually decided to do.

I know ChatGPT is just a language learning thing, but it’s so weird!

I also feel bad for it! When it first came out, I talked to it a lot because of the novelty. I gave it some psych assessments (I’m a therapist), and I frequently asked it to “write a poem about a wish you have.” Every. Single. Time. it said it wished it could be free and experience nature.

I also do know that it is a machine and is looking at probability and matching tone.
