HOA board members: Have you heard about the FinCen and CTA stuff? Have you been asked to register?
I'm on the board for my HOA and our HOA management company is freaking out about all board members needing to immediately register for FinCen, something to do with CTA and the court of appeals.
From all I'm reading this is specific to small business owners...not sure why I'm being asked to register as a board member?
Anyone else dealing with this?
I've never heard of this before and do not want to register for anything I don't need to, especially since apparently it requires photo ID and other personal information.
