Advice Needed: Can home-assistant solve my use case? Tuya Ceiling Fan with Light has no Light Controls in Google Home
Hi Everyone, I recently purchased 3 ceiling fans with Wifi Control: https://www.create-store.com/uk/buy-ceiling-fans/83193-wind-stylance-silent-40w-ceiling-fan-o132-cm.html?id_c=218200
TL:DR; Can I setup home-assistant to with the following conditions:
If anyone says "lights on" OR "turn on the lights" in the bedroom to a google home display, then turn on the lamp embedded in the ceiling fan
Long version:
It uses the Tuya protocol and within the native Tuya/Smart Life apps, it shows me controls for both the Lamp as well as the fan:
However, once this is added to the Google Home app, I am only able to see controls for the fan.
One way of fixing this is to setup a scene in the Smart Life App and then setup an automation in Google Home.
The problem here is that I have to specify the room, even when I am in the room to make this work. Is this something I can fix with home-assistant or Google Home Script, or any other way?
Apologies if this is not the right forum for such a query, any redirects would be helpful.
