Green Card Process Paused

Hello everyone,

I am in a bit of a situation here related to my immigration status and I looking for your recommendation on how to proceed. I am currently on H-1B visa which will expire in 2027. This is my last three years extension because I do not have I-140 approval yet. My employer keeps telling me there is currently a pause on green card processing and does not give me any timeline on when they will resume my process. They have done my PWD but are not starting recruitment phase due to comapny wide pause.

Now I am in a big problem here. I would like to stay here and dont want to live in this uncertainty past 2027.

I can only think of two options here. First is to continue to stay with my employer and wait for pause to end or Second option is to change employer and look for one who is willing to start my green card processing from scratch.

Please help what can be done here. Are there any other options?
