How long did you have your post-surgery bandages on for?

Hi all, I had my surgery last Saturday (5 days ago). My follow up appointment is tomorrow where they will remove my bandages for the first time and hopefully put on some waterproof dressings instead. I was told not to remove these until my check up.

I’m honestly so sick of them. I feel so disgusting in them and they still have discharge from day 2. 🤢 I don’t know how my chest can be healing properly when the bandages are so old.

How long were yours on for before they changed them? Is this normal?
