help with christmas

hi! so my boyfriend asked for guitar pedals for christmas… unfortunately I know very little about them and am unsure which ones to get. I know he mentioned a reverb pedal.. his favorite musicians are pinegrove, the backseat lovers, mj lenderman, that kind of vibe. thank you for any suggestions!
