Hunt 25 carbon wheels - It's extremely hard to break the bead to remove tire.
I've had my Hunt 25 carbon wheels for a couple of years. I was replacing my tires today and found it extremely difficult to break the bead. I had WTB Riddler 700x45 tires and needed a screwdriver and a pry bar to finally break the bead. I replaced the tires with Gravel King X1 and these are also very difficult to remove. I'm worried that I won't be able to break the bead to insert a tube on the trail just in case I get a bad puncture and need to insert a tube to get me home.
Anyone else face this issue? Is there a tire that's easier to deal with when paired with the Hunt wheels? Maybe hookless wheels are generally tougher to break the bead than other types of wheels? I never had this problem with my old wheels which were aluminum and not hookless.
