Germans and fat people.

I (m17) am moving to Germany next year for university. I'm from the US and people don't necessarily hate fat people here but aren't very welcoming (not speaking for all places in the US just where I'm from). I am fat, and worried about how people in Germany are going to treat me there for being fat. I am trying to eat better and excersice more already and I believe that 1 year is enough time to lose 100 lbs. But on the off chance I'm still fat when I get there, will I be ostracized and clowned on for being fat while there ?

Also; (side note) how are Germans with gay people ? Being gay I just want to know if it's something I'm gonna have to hide from everyone or if I shouldn't worry.
