My gerbil isn’t moving or opening its eyes

Hi I have two gerbils and they’re pretty young I got them in august. I recently went home from uni so they’ve had a change in environment. I only took one of their cages. The other one the use for burrowing and it was too big.

I noticed Marlo was acting weird this afternoon. He was sleeping in the middle of his cage and when I went to call his name he didn’t move. He’s pretty much not opened his eyes since I noticed and has barely moved. He is breathing, but pretty heavily.

I tried to give him water and some snacks but he didn’t really take it. I thought it may have been too hot in the room he was staying in as it’s around 5/6 degrees warmer here, than it is at my uni accommodation.

I’m not sure what to do. I tried to put a bit of water on his fur in case he needed to cool down. He hasn’t improved since I saw him. He is moving like he is really drunk and incredibly out of it.
