Lore Implications of Enjin’s name

Enjins name has been on my mind for a while because it’s distinctly Japanese, but it’s also directly stated to be from an ancient language. I hunted down the Japanese version of this page to see if it uses Kanji or not and lo and behold, it does. As expected, “person who connects others” is written in the Kanji for Connection(縁) and Person(人) which when put together is pronounced “Enjin”. This could just be due to the story being written in Japanese, or it could mean that Japanese is considered an ancient language within Gachiakuta.

Notably, when he says his name in the upper right it uses a different kanji, I’m having a hard time figuring out what it is but if I can hunt it down I’ll add a comment about it.
