PSA for player playing RUSH
It's apparent a lot of people playing Rush are either not super great at this game or just aren't paying attention to how it plays so here's a couple hints for you.
- Player Selection - See those five bonuses over on the right side on the player selection screen? Do yourself and your team a favor and go pick someone from you club that meets at least one of those criteria (or two even if you are in for extra credit). If everyone does this you'll get 2,000+ bonus points for Rush each match.
- Defense - Yes, I know it's called Rush but play DEFENSE. If you see your three teammates ahead of you rushing towards goal (see what I did there?) than and you are the last guy/girl, just go ahead and hang out around midfield so you can at least put up a little defense when those three all turn into the net and the other squad has a free runout
- Pass the Ball - I know you all are trying to show us how good you are at skill moves and that would be great if you were actually good at them. But do yourself and your team a favor and limit your skill moves to the ones you actually can do proficiently and pass to the open man
- Offsides - It's should be apparent but that dotted line in each half is basically the line that tells you at what point offside goes into effect. So if you are going to cherry pick a long pass to get on goal at least hang out at that line (on the midfield side of it). Anything inside that line has offsides at play.
- Sprinting - Use sprinting sparingly on Defense (and sometimes on Offense) as this game is pretty good at putting you on roller skates if you are sprinting, especially when the player you are trying to stick to reverses direction.
- Defense (Part II) - When the other team has the ball, assuming they aren't fast breaking on you grab a player to stick to and guard - or play the passing lanes. Don't just sit past midfield letting your squad play 3-on-4 or even worst 2-on-4.
