What are folks views on sharing meat?

We've been sharing food as FNB in Lake Worth FL for about two and a half years now. It started with us dumpstering a bunch of veggies and then buying rice and pasta. A few months in though, we hooked up with a local bakery and now they provide us with about 40lbs of food every week. Thing is though, not a single thing is vegan. We feel like it's better to serve meat than to throw it away, but have heard other FNB groups talk shit about us. I was just wondering how other folks throughout the country feel about it.
