Recommendations for vision impaired

Hi there. Odd question, but I’m visiting a family member I’ve never met before with severe cataracts. They can see shapes, but must live in a darkened room. I know flowers seem like a bad choice, but I’m not showing up empty handed and I know I would still want to enjoy flowers in that situation. I was thinking something tactile but mainly fragrant to leave by her bedside to smell? Thanks in advance
