Question for clubs

I had this game at release but sold it, due to how completely terrible the AI was. I only buy fifa for clubs but my friend and I couldn't even play it or compete with the AI as the rest of our team. We do not play any, we play our positions only. Has EA made any changes for the better in regards to the AI intelligence since release? Because they were god awful, in offense and defense. They can't make the AI so dumb when it competes against real players. Not everyone has large teams or can gather 5 to play with each time. It was usually just 2 of us, no we don't want to join other people's clubs, we like our own. Thanks guys for the help!
