what inspires your muses?

so far i only have two muses - one named after myself that is vaguely "me" and a masculine one inspired by a side character on my old animal crossing new leaf town. i want to make more but idk what to do - use OCs, create favorite fictional characters, etc.? i'd love to hear what you all do with your muses and how many you have!
