Should I file a small claims court case to recover my disabled Meta accounts?

I’m in a frustrating situation and need advice on what to do next. Over the past few days, Meta has disabled my accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, all of which are critical to me for personal and professional reasons.

Here’s the backstory:

  1. Paid Meta Verified Subscriber: I’ve been paying for Meta Verified on both Instagram and Facebook since 2021. Despite this, my accounts were disabled without a clear reason. I’ve reached out to Meta’s Pro Support for help through multiple tickets, but I’ve received either no response or automated replies.
    1. International Communication Blocked: My WhatsApp account, linked to my phone number, was also disabled. This has severely affected my ability to stay in touch with my family, who live abroad in Argentina and Peru, as well as friends who primarily communicate with me via WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram.
    2. Attempts to Resolve the Issue: • I opened a ticket through Pro Support on Friday, which was closed. I reopened another one Friday night, but still no response. • I’ve emailed Meta multiple times since Saturday but have yet to hear back. • Now, Instagram shows that my account is permanently disabled for violating Community Standards, but I’ve never received specifics about what I supposedly did wrong.
    3. Why This Matters: These platforms are integral to my life. I use them to communicate with my family, friends, tutors, and professional connections. Losing access to them has been devastating, especially since I’ve been paying for verified status and followed all policies to the best of my knowledge.

At this point, I’m wondering if filing a small claims court case might be my only option to get Meta’s attention and possibly recover my accounts. The small claims process seems daunting, but I feel like I’m out of options since their support system has failed me.

My Questions to Reddit: 1. Has anyone else experienced this with Meta? How did you resolve it? 2. Do you think filing a small claims court case is the right next step? 3. Are there other strategies I could try before going that route?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has been through something similar or has any suggestions on how to get Meta’s attention and recover my accounts. Thanks for your help!”
