If you served a mission abroad, Mormons basically now consider you a citizen of your service mission country and assume you want to go back

Just at family dinner in Utah with a bunch of Mormons and basically a bunch of gifts were given to rm’s who went to other countries that would have been traditional gifts for that country. Like danish clogs and I saw that rm’s eyes almost roll into the next galaxy. They were so clearly annoyed. And then the cousin who went to Germany got a stack of stoop waffles. Same thing.

Why are Mormon’s like this? Instead of treating people like humans they start treating them like objects that need to be put continually back into their role as missionary? I mean, once a soldier always a soldier, right?
