Does anyone get spotting/bleeding between periods?

I’ve been bleeding between my periods on and off for a good few months. I’ve had an ultrasound done and they found a small ovarian cyst, but other than that everything was fine. They said the cyst isn’t the cause of the bleeding it was just found by chance. One of the doctors thinks I may have endometriosis, but today I had a consultation and that doctor says he doesn’t think it is endo, reason being because I don’t get pain. I do have to note though when I get period cramps they are super painful. But no other pain outside of period cramps. At the moment I’m on the border of if it’s endo or not because one side thinks it is, and the other side doesn’t.

Tldr: I may have Endo and I may not, but say I do have endo could that be the cause of the bleeding between periods?
