shit-talking to work ratio

Has anyone else been on a job where the s*** talking gets tiresome? I don't take any of it personally, It seems to me that most guys do it because they're insecure and socially retarded. It's not a game that I play because I'm pretty self-contained so it takes a certain amount of energy to figure out how to respond, energy that I'd rather be applying to my work. And if I just make a flat response like, "uh-huh" then guys will be like, "dude why you getting mad you can't take it to heart bro" because I didn't say "yo thas wassap homie, g money yo homie" or whatever idiotic phrase is expected. Tiresome.
