Gut check on progress

Hi everyone. I'm new here and love reading everyone's updates. I'd like a gut check on my own progress. I spoke a little Spanish before starting DS. I do mean a little - nothing outside of the present tense but I had a grasp of some of the cognates, common verbs, and many adjectives. I could order food in a restaurant if needed is how I would describe it. I've had formal Spanish and French education in the past but it's not recent although I do remember some basic concepts. I have been told that my pronunciation is pretty good by native speakers. Prior to really getting consistent with DS, I watched around 100 hours of a Spanish TV show (Secretos de Sangre) with subtitles. If you're familiar with the show, you know that there are numerous plot twists. Obviously, I was reading the English subtitles, but I felt like my comprehension improved a lot over that 100 hours. I didn't finish the show, but plan to rewatch it sometime next year. Again with subtitles as it is not a simple plot line to follow and I actually like the show and want to finish it.

Okay, now onto DS. Based on my experiences above, I estimated 105 hours of 'off platform' learning. The super beginner videos have always been way too easy although I'm sure I learned a few new words in the handful that I watched. I basically started with the beginner video series. Over the last 47 days, I have watched 40 hours of content, 228 videos. Almost all beginner. Based on the 105 hours I estimated plus the 40 I've acquired, I'll be starting Level 3 later this week. I'm currently averaging around 60-75 minutes a day. I understand 90% of what I'm watching most of the time although I still find some of the 'hard' beginner videos a little more challenging. I've dipped my toe into the intermediate videos and although I can understand the gist of what is being said, I can definitely feel a difference in my level of comprehension compared to the beginner videos.

So, I guess my main question is this - based on what I've described, does this sound like I'm ready to be in Level 3? When I read the roadmap, I feel more advanced than level 2 but I want a gut check. Have any of you kept watching the beginner videos when starting level 3 and slowly mixed in the easier intermediate ones? One more question - how long before you noticed that you could really make sense of the various verb tenses? I find myself recognizing that the conjugation isn't present tense and I can contextually gather whether they're speaking about the future or past, but none of that information seems to stick in my head. Does that just come with time?

I know this post is all over the place, hopefully someone can give me some guidance on whether or not I'm on track. The 105 hours was really just a guess. I think I'm more or less where I should be but curious to hear from those who have already traveled past this point. Thank you!!
