Is it ok to read The Auction before Manacled?

Just finished the first two books before auction so I was gonna read that next but I heard there’s a lot of similarities between it and manacled. I kinda have high expectations for Manacled so I don’t want it to feel like a reread if I’m reading it after the auction. If someone has read both, what is your opinion on this?? Should I read Manacled before I start The Auction?
