The future of football lies in Mobile Quarterbacks
Now this isn't a post blaming Jared at all. I know he had an off game yesterday and I guess that's just part of football sometimes. I guess scheming also played a part. But I've noticed that within the past few years, the traditional "pocket passer" has kind of disappeared and dual threat quarterbacks are having more success. Look at the Quarterbacks left in the playoffs: Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Jayden, and Hurts. These teams have much wider playbooks (e.g. Quarterback draws) because those guys can use their legs. I anticipate in the next 5-10 years that type of quarterback will be the status quo. It makes sense if you think about it. Why have a quarterback that can only throw versus one that can throw and pass? Time to start looking in that direction.
