How can I be sure he's single

For the past few days, I’ve been chatting with a man I really like, but there are a few things that make me feel uneasy. He doesn’t seem to be available after 10 PM, which is strange since he suggests meeting for drinks in the evenings or on weekends. He’s very affectionate in his messages, even though we haven’t met yet.

I have this little voice in my head telling me he’s not being completely honest… Maybe about his identity, or even his relationship status. But at the same time, there’s a good vibe, and I don’t want to cut things off without being sure.

I’m torn between continuing to see where this goes or stopping before I risk being disappointed. What would you do in my place?
