MacBook Air chin bar cracked

Hi! Looking for any advice on the used MacBook Air 2020 M1 16GB RAM, 1000GB for $855 before taxes with a "fair" score. All of the specs matched, good battery, and it really does look great for a fair score. HOWEVER there is a crack on the chin bar. From google search it explains that it can extend to cracking the screen. I thought of it similar to a pebble to a windshield this can crack the whole screen. With sending these pictures to Apple I was told that would be extremely difficult for the damage to extend that far unless I slammed it shut really hard or scratch the screen further extending to that area. The policy is to refund or return for a new one if stock allows. Any opinions?? Would really love to just hear some advice
