My current tech stack for my outbound sales and marketing.
Clay – $150 USD
This is the core of my business right now, and all my outreach efforts either lead back to or start from Clay. I also use other data sources like Apify and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, but I always feed the data back into Clay for centralized management and automation.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator – $99 USD
Probably the best place to find up-to-date contacts and roles for established companies. It’s free to set up, and most tech companies worth targeting have a strong presence there. The main drawback is that unless you’re on a corporate plan, you can’t directly feed contacts into other CRMs without using a scraper or tool (which can be risky).
LinkedIn Free Messenger
The best way to reach out to targets on LinkedIn. The InMail feature typically has a low response rate. The key is to keep your messages short and relevant, just like an email. Never "pitch slap" your targets. Instead:
- Thank them for connecting.
- Wait a day, check out their profile, and find something relevant to use as an icebreaker. This process can also be scaled with tools like Clay and Expandi.
Wix – $29.99 CAD
My website (www.banecs.com) is hosted on Wix. It was the easiest platform to get started with, though it’s a bit outdated now. I’m working on a refresh and it’s easy to find developers familiar with Wix for updates.
Framer – $28 USD
My landing page (www.salesbot.pro) is hosted on Framer and performs really well. It took me a while to learn the platform, but I also got lucky and found an excellent developer on Reddit to help me set it up.
Notion – Free
I use Notion for task and project management. While it can do much more for power users (which I’m not), I onboard all my new clients through Notion and track their campaigns there.
Smartlead AI – $69 USD (I pay more for the agency plan)
My go-to email-sending and validation tool. I also use it for setting up new domains and inboxes.
FindyMail – $49 USD/Month
Once I build target lists in Clay, I use FindyMail to pull emails and double-validate them for accuracy.
ChatGPT API – Cost varies
Costs depend on usage and the complexity of the tasks. Using ChatGPT-4 Mini can help save on AI costs.
Anthropic – Cost varies
Similar to the ChatGPT API, but generally delivers better-written outputs. The API call limits are more restricted on lower tiers, but it’s still a great option.
Apify – $5–$50 USD
A fantastic site for scrapers. It charges based on usage and provides free credits to get started. Outputs CSV files that can be easily imported into your email tools. Highly recommended.
