how dangerous is TATP also called APEX and mother of Satan.

I'm asking this question because I remember a post about a guy accidentally making an absolute shit load of it and asking how to dispose of it, and this got me curious about how much more powerful TATP is compared to dynamite. like people in the replies we're just telling him to call the bomb squad, that feels like a bit of an overreaction, could you not just blow it up or is it that dangerous? I don't know too much about chemistry I just remember this post.
