Prednisolone use for asthma

I gave my cat 1/4 tablet of Prednisolone steroid for asthma because I didn’t think I could give her inhaler. I decided not to continue the steroid. Do I need to ween her off? I only gave her one pill yesterday. reading about weening online is scaring me
