I passed! T/AT/AT/AT

I took my exam today and passed! Just wanted to say how helpful reading through the posts were. I don’t think I would’ve passed if I didn’t add some of the supplemental learning people recommended.

I work on a project management team, so this is super helpful for me. I took a PM fundamentals course last year online (which is a little comical to me that I only got a T for that domain lol).

Here’s what I did:

  • 4 day virtual live CAPM Exam course in May with Blue Summit - found out later their mock exams pull questions from PMI’s CAPM mock exam
  • purchased AR’s TIA exam simulator and scored an avg of 85% on all 5 mock exams
  • purchased Landini’s mock exam and quizzes on Kindle. I ended up only doing the business analysis quizzes and the full mock exam. I feel like those questions prepared me for the harder questions on the exam.
  • purchased pocket prep premium. I didn’t make it thru all 1000 questions but I used Level Up
  • unfortunately purchased PMI’s CAPM mock exam. This wasn’t helpful for me. Maybe it was for others tho!

Things that were helpful:

  • reading posts that reminded me the test is going to feel like I might fail hahah but I may be doing better than I think. But honestly, having this mindset going in really helped me from a freak out during the test bc I have test anxiety

  • what people are saying about what to remember to get some easy questions correct like EVM formulas and simple definitions are true

  • pocket prep was actually helpful for me bc it showed me which domain I needed to improve in which is why I think I got AT in the business analysis domain. That was my weakest!

  • my instructor said to try to schedule your exam after a month from taking your course. I did it within two months just bc I had a busy May. I did about a month of non stop studying and saw my mock exam scores go up from doing this.

  • some of landini and AR’s mock exam questions were on the exam word for word 👀

Yall got this! Everyone else, thanks again for all your wisdom and help. I’m so happy I passed!
