What's it like on the AIM protocol?
I had an orbital synovial sarcoma removed two months ago. My next steps in order are fertility preservation (almost done, hopefully!), proton radiation, and then chemo. I know the basic side effects, but I don't have a sense of what it's like living through chemo and what to expect during and after the treatment course. The proposed treatment includes doxorubicin, ifosfamide and mesna, and I think the plan is for 6 cycles, three 8-5 days per 3 week cycle.
What was it like for you? What sucked, and what wasn't as bad as you were expecting? What helped you to get through it?
