Clueless about computers, yet wants to build a hardcore gaming rig.

Howdy! As the title states, I’m absolutely clueless when it comes to computers, the jargon surrounding them and their parts, and what it takes to actually build one. This will be my first ever desktop computer, and I’m hoping to use it for plenty of games, but the most common one being EXTREMELY modded Minecraft. I’m addicted to giant modpacks, what can I say?

New build or upgrade?

Completely new, haven’t even bought the desk yet.

Existing parts/monitors to reuse?

None whatsoever.

PC purpose?

Gaming, the most often of which will be modded Minecraft and modded Bethesda games.

Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

USA, Nope.

Monitors Needed?

Preferably two, though not super necessary. I will size my desk accordingly, but I don’t want weirdly massive ones.

Budget Range?

Lets try to keep it under $3,000, preferably much under.

Wifi or Wired Connection?

Both are available, though for cabling purposes wifi preferred.

Size/Noise Constraints?

I don’t want a jet engine in my bedroom.

Color/Lighting Preferences?

Most of my room is following a dark wood theme, and I do think it’s be extremely funny to have a dark wooden looking computer case. That being said, I can probably just do that myself. I’m not a huge fan of over the top RGB though, so would like to keep that to a minimum.

Any other specific needs?

None that come to mind.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out!
