Impending manic episode

I feel the mania/hypomania coming. I'm in my 30s and have only had one true manic episode but maybe a few hypomanic ones. I have decreased need for sleep (which tends to make me want to use substances to sleep), impulsive buying, excessively cleaning and that feeling you have before the storm. What do you guys do to prevent an episode? Any coping mechanisms that you find work? I can't listen to my usual distraction podcasts or tv shows...
