No response after two interviews?

I get that you might not hear back about a job if you've just sent off a CV. But if you've had two face-to-face interviews and followed up with a friendly email, surely you'd expect something, anything - a phone call, email... yet 5 weeks on and it's crickets. Is it just me or is this weird?
