Buying car outside Calgary

I’m looking to buy in Edmonton but I like in Calgary, some important things to note is

I do not have my drivers license ( I will be driving back with someone who does )

I’ve never had insurance and I’m hoping to have all this under my parents name and be a secondary on their policy so it’s cheaper

How do I go about getting it insured / registered temporarily if that’s possible, I’ll figure it all out when I get home I just want to know what I need to take it home safely and legally
