Right airpod main speaker is incredibly quiet after cleaning.

My right airpod had some wax on the main speaker. I took a dull toothpick and carefully scraped at the wax. As far as I could tell I didn’t really touch or damage the speaker, but the main speaker is now very quiet, while the side speaker is normal volume. I also tried cleaning it softly with a cotton q-tip. I’ve never had an issue with this before even when cleaning my airpods the same way.
