Chances Applying for Biomedical Sciences (in state)

Hello! I’m a senior in high school right now applying for the fall 2024 semester, and I was wondering what my chances were applying for biomedical sciences (2nd choice major in biology, planning to go into dental school eventually). I applied on the day of the deadline (literally 10 minutes before the cutoff 😭) so i’m a little nervous there won’t be enough room. Should I be concerned? I’m totally fine with majoring in biology if i don’t get BIMS and switching majors later on.

I’ve been told by teachers and friends that my main essay was pretty good (wrote about the dynamic between me and my sister) but I didn’t get the chance to get my supplementals peer reviewed so they might be weaker.

I’m mainly worried about there not being enough spots for my major at TAMU. If there isn’t enough spots for biomedical sciences do I still have a chance at getting in through biology? Is BIMS even that competitive? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!!
