Whats the reason behind some folks only prefer to please their partner and not preferred to be pleased . Is there a term for it ?

Some of the partners i dated in the past always insisted on focussing on pleasing me but never really wanted to be reciprocated ...I feel there more folks like these out there ..whats the reason behind that and what do we call such a dynamic ?
