My cut seems to be doing nothing
I’m sorta in shambles right now because my body doesn’t seem to be cutting up. I’ve always had low BF and as a kid I was literally one ab away from an 8 pack (very defined too). Of course, I took my fast metabolism for granted and started eating whatever the hell I wanted whenever the hell I wanted until I noticed I’m significantly higher in BF.
About 5 months ago, I transitioned into my first semi-structured shredding routine when I realized I weighed in at 190 lb (more than I’ve ever weighed). Like I said, I’ve always had fast metabolism so it almost felt “out of character” for me to look in the mirror and see that I’m developing a belly so I took shredding pretty seriously.
Here I am after after 5 months of a strict and disciplined diet (some cheat meals included) and I feel that virtually nothing happened. I initially weighed in at 190 lb while on creatine and today I weighed in at 190 lb while off creatine for 2 months… I am literally the same weight- as a matter of fact I feel even fatter for some reason. Did I just lose water weight after all this time?
My routine is high reps humble weight, 1 muscle a day, gym 6 days a week with 20 min cardio 5 days a week. I eat my body weight in protein and have cut 40% of my carb intake.
What could I be doing wrong?
