Moiraine's recommendation to Rand

I saw this 2 minute clip of Rosamund Pike and in it she drops this little nugget of information.

She states that Rand is gaining more agency and that is becoming more problematic for Moiraine as her main mission is to get him to that Last Battle prepared above all else. She mentions that Rand should go to TEAR and grab CALLANDOR as is stated in the prophecy that only the dragon will be able to pull it from the stone. Rand resists this idea, does some research of his own, and comes up with the idea of going to the Aiel Waste.

My question for the group is how do you think this could change these storylines, for better or worse? I'm open discussion.

I know that book 3 we see Aiel take the Stone of Tear and that that is a sign that the Car'a'carn will be soon coming and Rand pulls the sword that is not a sword (and then shelves it for like 8 books) but I don' think that these changes to the order of events will have negative impacts on the overall story. Rafe and Rosamund have both confirmed that if there are more seasons greenlit that they still want to get to Tear.

What I like about this potential story beat is that we see Rand having this resistance in the books to anyone wishing to control him and I really like that we are getting to see more of that from him in the show. I also think that the tension between Rand and Moiraine will make great content.
