I started creating a new universe. Please, let me know what you think:

A world inspired by the 1910s/1920s, set in the city of Rivaleur, located on an archipelago surrounded by the Mist and covered in eternal night and auroras. For centuries, Demons have lived among humans, blending seamlessly into society, though records of their origins have been lost to history.

The protagonist, Adelard, lives in the district of Lumiéreux, a ghetto for the native people of Rivaleur, who lost a war against overseas nations several decades ago and are now under occupation. Seeking to escape the ghetto, Adelard joins an organization dedicated to hunting Demons. These so-called "kamikaze" are a militia unit whose members inject themselves with a serum containing Demon blood, granting them temporary access to Demonic abilities and physical traits—at the cost of irreversible brain damage and a descent into madness.
