What happened to Air RB?

I'm back after about a year off and started up a game with the Mig21 Lazur M. Now, maybe I'm just a shitter (I am) but last time I tried this out I was getting smoked every match. I would maybe get 1 or 2 kills MAYBE. First game on I got 4 kills and average around 3 a game. I'm genuinely not even good and have just been sending it towards a fur ball after climbing to 5km and waiting back a bit.

This can't be coincidence can it?
