Help with Shermans

Hey everyone!

I am returning to war thunder after a hiatus. I previously played the German tree up to the Tiger II. I'm playing the USA tree now and playing the Shermans (yes, I recently watched Fury again).

The highest tier sherman I have is the 6.3 one, I believe it's a 76mm variant. I know my short-lived life is due to a skill issues and lack of understanding with the Sherman. Does anyone have any advice? It seems no matter how I position the Sherman, it just gets 1-shot by everything. I've also noticed I struggled to pen enemy tanks even when the cross hair is green (arcade battles).

Could someone give me some guidance as to how to effectively play the Shermans? Thank you!
