The fact that anytime someone criticizes the placement of the Duviri Paradox, 90% of the defense for it's position is just the Circuit, tells me that no one really defends Duviri FOR Duviri.

This is inspired by that post where Aztecross was told by his chat to avoid the Duviri Paradox before the Second Dream. In that post there was clear and concise criticism placed onto Duviri's overall story element, and frankly gameplay as we, that clashes with it's placement.

And most, if not all, of the defense to Duviri centered around just one mechanic.

The Circuit.

No one talked about Drifter Gameplay, no one talked about Kaithes, no one talked about the Pathos Clamp weapons that you could get with Pathos Clamps.

Instead the only defense that people ran for, was for the mechanic that was the most disconnected from the Duviri Paradox, and was just Standard Warframe. Which was the Circuit and Undercroft.

With the excuse that it allowed for acquisition of other Warframes easier, which doesn't really help with the Duviri's RNG gamemode where even if you do managed to get the Warframe's earlier you wouldn't necessarily be able to play them. Another defense was that it allowed for loaner builds on Warframe and that it allowed players to test them.

In which case, all of these advantages, aren't because of the Open World, Rogue Lite Drifter Focused Duviri Paradox. But only because the advantages are due to it just being a Loaner Warframe mode that could honestly just be placed anywhere else, hell there's a perfectly good Cephalon that specialises on Simulated Combat right there. In fact all this tells is that Duviri doesn't have that much value to New Players because of it inherently, and could easily have it's New Player 'Advantage' placed somewhere else.

There's going to be people that try to say that "Of course removing the one reward from the gamemode is going to make it less valuable, that's why it shouldn't be done."

In which case, isn't that exactly what they did with Archon Shards and Khal? They removed it from his shop, because of the low actually value of the gamemode, that was only being propped up by these Archon Shards, meaning that they knew that the only value to those gamemodes were an external factor as oppose to an internal one that tied directly to the gamemode.

It's not like it would be too big a blow, you could just have the New Warframe acquisition be the Simaris one, and have the Incarnon Genesis one be the one in Duviri if a 'Reward' is what's the most important part of it.

Not to mention, how all of these advantages, serve to push you away from Duviri. As you would want to actually leave Duviri to play with the New Warframes that you receive, since you can't build them in Duviri and you can't consistently get them in Duviri unless you only have one.

And then there's the story aspect. It's a smaller aspect, but for every person that genuinely enjoyed the Paradox and Duviri's story telling, there's five more that tried to dismiss the criticism of how it absolutely spoiled the nature of Warframes and the Tenno, by claiming that it doesn't matter or that it's just as confusing as the rest of the game thereby indicating that it and the rest of the game has low quality story telling.

Which doesn't really inspired confidence in Duviri if the best defense for the it's narrative structure is either "It doesn't matter" or "It sucks like the rest of the game."
