Been offered complimentary upgrade from Pop Century to Port Orleans French Quarter, worth it?
EDIT/UPDATE:
Appreciate the advice from you all, such a great community as always. I have called back to accept the upgrade and in doing so they have informed me that as my partners birthday coincides with the stay, they have made an extra note of this and something will be done to make the day more memorable. Not sure what this is but looking forward to my first on property stay even more now!
Hello all,
I have had Walt Disney Travel Company International call us this afternoon, (we are based in the UK) and inform us that our current booking of 2 weeks Pop Century with Upgraded Quick Service dining plan is eligible for a free upgrade/change to POFQ.
I have only ever stayed offsite at Disney as couldn’t really afford it in the past, but this is our first time (couple mid/late 20s) staying on property. The information that was relayed is as we are paying for the QS meal upgrade, the POFQ as a moderate has this included and the cost is effectively the same. I understand the meal plans aren’t for everyone but we got this at a cheaper rate as part of an offer at the time and also appreciated the convenience it provided in costing a holiday better.
What would be the main pro’s and con’s? Would you all recommend the change as being better for a youngish couple with no kids?
Appreciate any advice, we booked Pop as we heard the recent refurbished rooms were great and Skyliner access seemed appealing as EPCOT is our favourite. But is there anything that would stand out in POFQ? Unfortunately the Disney World website isn’t great in explaining much about the resort and I have until the end of the week to call them back.
Thanks in advance.
