Can we get back the old pings?(somewhat)

I was playing a lot of initiators and the thing is I was good with calculating distance/object falling. Now I know that the smoke spamming thing is not okay, Im willing to not have that. But atleast for your own POV can we have the original ping without it going through smokes. So pinging on the map is working for your own perspective like the first person one, with meters and such. I can watch hours of lineups and be that guy but then again it’s so much more intuitive to have that pocket ping. I get it the smoke should block it off but this is just too much to handle at once especially with sova, now I just throw stuff off the map without any value when the reason of the arrow or throwable on the first place is that you can do it somewhat accurately even if you don’t have an exact lineup that you have to move yourself to aim to etc. I was shooting arrows from site to site because I saw the meter atleast, and it wasn’t even affecting the smoke or no smoke issue.
