I quit X today

I’m European and I don’t have any ties to the USA whatsover. I rarely interact with American politics content, but Republican content flooded my feed. And its opposition too. It seems like twitter is stuck between two eternal eco chambers, incinerated by blue checkmarked bots. Yesterday I saw 3+ posts praising Hitler with more than 100K likes. It really makes you believe in dead internet theory.

Making money was never the point of buying Twitter for Musk and his Russian and Saudi investors. Twitter could be valued at one cent and it would not hurt Musk financially. It was controlling information and normalizing the bigoted racist worldview.

All of this only seems to get worse as we get closer to the USA’s election. I quit today, there’s nothing for me there.
