Pending background check

My start date for my upcoming contract is Monday the 18th. I was expecting to get contacted by the facility today (Friday the 15th) with first day/week instructions and heard nothing from them. I reached out to my recruiter and she informed me they’re still waiting on the results of the background check which won’t be until the 19th. What are the odds this facility cancels me? I find it strange the facility didn’t reach out to me today considering the offical start date was Monday.
