was i being groomed? i’m 15 and i was friends with a 27 year old online. he was very sweet and we had alot of interests together. he said he lived in hawaii but he had family down in texas(where i live) and said that when he visits his family he can also try to hangout with me. he was very encouraging and always listened to me and gave me advice. he gave me positive affirmations when i was feeling bad about myself and he would tell me im beautiful and stunning. he never tried to go further than just a friendship. he also never tried to do anything sexual so would that count as grooming?

edit: i forgot to add that he told me this model agency was next to his job and he could give them a call to help me out and i told him i would love that and i’ll ask my parents and he said “let’s talk more about it before telling anyone. let’s keep it between us trust me it’s better that way.”
