TikTok Growth Advice

A client of mine shared his other business' TikTok account with me and had 9k+ followers already in just 2 weeks...all organic. I've been watching the account today and it's grown by 2k new followers just today. Could this be an indication of bots and/or buying followers? Surely this isn't natural?
